The W Kuala Lumpur is located in the heart of downtown Kuala Lumpur, surrounded by the city’s major attractions.
The W Kuala Lumpur consists of 150 guest rooms spread over 9 floors overlooking the Petronas Twin Towers and the stunning expanse of the city skyline. All rooms are designed to further accentuate the beauty of Kuala Lumpur’s cutting-edge contemporary design.
Booking
I was looking for a hotel somewhere to stay after lockdown and was searching for a hotel on the Marriott app, and the W Kuala Lumpur had an intriguing price of RM495 per night, which I had never seen before, so I straight booked it. We were lucky because I don’t think we will ever be able to stay at this price again.
Check-in
We arrived at the hotel via Grab and the doorman straight came and carried our luggage directly to the 8th floor. Then we found the W hotel’s unique and colorful reception desk.
Since I am a Marriott Platinum Elite, I was allowed to check in without waiting.
The perks of being a Platinum Elite are
- Complimentary breakfast for two
- room upgrade
- Hors d’oeuvres and two complimentary drink tickets per person at Wed Deck
Spectacular Room
I had heard that W Kuala Lumpur is likely to upgrade you to a suite, so I was hoping for an upgrade to a Marvelous Suite, but was not able to because there was no availability on the day. Still, they upgraded us to a Twin Tower view room, which I was appreciated.
W Kuala Lumpur has one of the best Twin Towers view.
Tea(TWG) and capsule coffee are available in the living room cabinet.
Minibar with unique items and snacks.
The bathroom is not that large, but the bathtub and shower are separated.
Toothbrushes, shaving kits, body cream, cleansing cream, mouse wash and vanity kit are provided.
Facility
Right in front of the pool are the Twin Towers and bar is just next to the pool!
This bar turn into a club at night, and the view from there is spectacular.
The gym is small and does not have a lot of equipment.
Breakfast
The buffet featured an international menu with Malaysian, Indian, Chinese, and Western dishes at “flock”. All the breakfasts were great and my favorite, one of the top 3 hotel breakfasts in Kuala Lumpur. I would like to go back here again for breakfast!!
