The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of the most magnificent hotels in Southeast Asia, built in the 1930s and listed as a national heritage site. The annex, which houses the majority of the luxurious guest rooms, is designed to complement this historic building.
Booking
The exterior of The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur is reminiscent of the colonial era.
We booked Celebrate Romance, which was the hotel’s offer.
This offer include
- Breakfast for 2 guests daily
- Dinner for 2 guests per night at Colonial Cafe
- 1 bottle of wine upon arrival
- Two 50 min spa treatment per night
With all these benefits and an attractive price of about RM764, I was able to make the decision to book right away!
Check-In
Check-in is in the Tower Wing. The lobby is very spacious, with a beautiful chandelier in the center that will amaze you the moment you enter this Tower Wing.
Grand Suite Room
I had originally booked a junior suite, but since I am a Marriott Titanium member, I received a free upgrade to Grand Suite Room!
The rooms are 77 square meters in size and are spacious with separate living room, bedroom, and bathroom.
The bedroom is located at the end of the living room and has a king size bed and a large sofa.
In the drawer, a sugar set, a coffee and tea(Boh) set were provided.
The wine we were offered, but to be honest, it wasn’t my taste.
The bathroom is spacious and has a large bathtub in the middle for relaxing while watching TV!
A toothbrush, shower cap, sanitary bag, shaving kit and vanity kit are provided.
Facility
There are two pools, one on the 4th floor of the Tower Wing and the other in front of the spa in the Majestic Wing.
The gym was spacious and all of the equipment was new.
Spa
Majestic spa entrance is separated from the hotel and it just located beside the Majestic Wing.
Majestic spa reception area with a lot of teddy bear display on the cupboard.
The room included the shower room, bathtub and two massage beds for the customers.
This is how the massage room look like.
Dinner at Colonial Cafe
There is live piano performance on every night in Colonial cafe.
Table for two setting romantic dinner.
Poached prawn actually tasteless but brined cucumber and tomato makes it tastes much better with the sweet and sour flavour.
Creamy pumpkin soup with curry flavour with it and they match each other perfectly.
Pan-fried Seabass served on Ratatouille which contain of stewed vegetables and it tastes slightly sour and creamy at the same time.
Chicken stuffed with crusted nuts and taste really delicious with the black pepper sauce. Vegetable fricassee and sweet potato puree are the side dish and taste delicious as well.
Chocolate fraise makes in heart shape and serve with berries coulis praline sauce so it tastes sweet and sour to represent the taste of love.
Gallery
A luxurious room where you can have afternoon tea surrounded by the Orchid. There seems to be an additional charge for afternoon tea here.
In the Drawing Room, the colonial ambiance is so inviting that I forgets which era I’m in.
Breakfast
Breakfast is buffet style at Contango on the ground floor, with a choice of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Western cuisine.
