【Review】Shangri-La Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu Malaysia

Shangri-la Tanjung Aru is a 25-acre resort overlooking the South China Sea in Sabah.It is one of several five-star resorts on the island and is located within a 15-minute drive from the airport, the vibrant capital city of Kota Kinabalu and Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

There are two reception at Tanjung Aru Resort, and the one with the large lobby is the reception area for Tanjung Wing.

The rooms are 45sqm in size and have king size bed.

From the balcony, you can enjoy a wonderful view of Mount Kinabalu.

There is an electric kettle, two bottles of complimentary mineral water, coffee, tea(Shangri-La).

The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub.

Facility

Shangri-La Tanjung Aru resort is one of those hotels that you will never want to leave.

The pools were large, with one for adults and one for children.

There is also a water slide.

Private beach behind the pool. The view from the beach is amazing, especially at sunset.

The gym is big and well-equipped.

The nine-hole pitch-and-putt golf course is their features also.

The Star Marina offers guests easy accessibility to neighbouring islands for day trips and water activities, including diver training, jet skiing, and standup paddle board.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served at a restaurant called Cafe Tatu, which is down the stairs from the front desk.

There is an egg station, a bread, pancake, and waffle station, and a drink in the outside seating area.

Inside the restaurant, there is a wide variety of Malay, Indian, and Chinese as well as continental.
