The Westin Kuala Lumpur is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur on the vibrant streets of Jalan Bukit Bintang. This 5-star hotel is strategically located within walking distance of Kuala Lumpur’s best shopping and attractions, including the Petronas Twin Towers and the Pavilion KL shopping mall.
Booking
There are three Marriott hotels in front of the pavilion: the Westin, the JW Marriott, and the Ritz-Carlton, and I stayed at the Westin. I managed to book a room at RM270, the cheapest among these three hotels. Unfortunately, this room rate is for the Covid-19 period and the room rate is usually around RM500.
Check-in
I arrived at the hotel via Grab cab. When I arrived at the entrance, a friendly doorman came right to us and carried our luggage. After checking in, he carried my luggage straight to my room. My room was an apartment, so if I had been alone I would have gotten lost, but the doorman took me there, thank goodness.

By the way, all of the clocks in the lobby are from one of the Big Three watchmakers, the luxury brand Audemars Piguet!! I like it.
1 Bedroom Apartment
I had reserved a guest room, but was upgraded to an apartment, perhaps because there was availability during the Covid-19 period.
The room is 80 square meters in size and has a living room and a bedroom.
Large kitchen in the room with lots of cooking utensils.
In the drawer, utensil, a sugar set, a coffee and tea(Teekanne) set were provided.
There is a small study so you can concentrate on your work here.
The bathroom is spacious with separate bathtub.
A toothbrush, sanitary bag, shower cap, comb, shaving kit, body cream, mouth wash and vanity kit are provided.
Facility
Pool is on the 4th floor, with separate areas for kids and adults.
The gym was well-equipped with free weights and machines so you can train in a variety of ways!
Club Lounge
Guests staying in Club Rooms are invited to use the Club Lounge on the 3rd floor for afternoon refreshments and evening cocktails.
There was a wide variety of desserts as well as hot meals!
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the “Living Room” in a buffet style with a choice of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Western cuisine.

Bottom line
Among the nearby Marriott hotels, the Westin seemed to me to be competitively priced and above all with service, lounge, and breakfast. I especially liked the lounge and the friendliness of all the staff made me want to stay there again.
