Eastern & Oriental Hotel, commonly known as E&O, is located in the heart of the World Heritage Site of George Town Penang.
E&O was founded in 1885 by the Sarkees brothers, famous for building the Raffles Hotel in Singapore and The Strand in Rangoon.
There are two entrances to the hotel, and the newly built wing is the Victory Annex.
And the other entrance will be the Heritage Wing where history remains.
This time we stayed in the Heritage Wing, so check in here.
Premier Suite King Room
The room is 58 square meters in size and has a living room and a bedroom.
The room has a seaview, but it was raining on the day we stayed.
In the cabinet, snacks, capsule coffee and tea(Harney & Sons) set were provided.
Bathrooms are also colonial in style, with a combination of black and white marbles.
The bathroom has an ample-sized bathtub and two sinks.
A toothbrush, razor, sewing kit, shower cap, loofah, sanitary bag, body lotion and vanity kit are provided.
Facility
There are two pools in the hotel, and this is the infinity pool in the Victory Annex with a wonderful sea view.
And this one is like a colonial-style pool in the Heritage Wing.
The gym is located in the Victory Annex and is a large room with a wide variety of equipment, where you can do your cardio workout while enjoying the seaview!
Dinner at Java Tree
The environment of Java Tree restaurant.
Potato and leek had been blended into liquid and cooked for turning it to soup.
Bread served with butter.
Lamb rack served with mashed potato and grilled vegetables. Lamb rack cooked in medium and it tastes good with the sauce together.
Grilled chicken with cream mushroom sauce. The cream mushroom sauce tastes rich and creamy to pair with chicken and vegetables.

This is one of the most iconic hallway in Eastern and Oriental Hotel!!
The bar is quite unique, but unfortunately it was closed when I visited.
The hotel has a small wharf, which is a perfect combination of the wharf and the historical hotel.
The hotel also offers haircuts.
More than a century has passed since its establishment!
This is the place for breakfast.
