Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s transportation and business district, this hotel combines luxury style with a convenient central location.
Booking
I stayed at the Hilton last time, so I stayed at the Le Meridien this time during my stay in Kuala Lumpur. The building design is the same and they are next to each other and the room rate is slightly cheaper at Le Meridien. When I booked Le Meridien, the room rate was RM230 including tax.
Check-in
From KL Sentral station, head straight to the Le Meridien. It is cool to see Gate Hilton and Le Meridien next to each other on the way. Once here, the hotel lobby is just around the corner. You will probably need to walk through the station for about 5 minutes, but you will not get lost as there are signs throughout the KL Sentral station.
Le Meridien is also committed to the arts, showcasing contemporary design and original installations by a variety of international artists.
We checked in smoothly, but unfortunately the club lounge was not open yet.
The perks for Platinum elite members are
- Room Upgrade
- Complimentary breakfast for Two
- Early Check-in/Late Check-out
Corner Room
Thanks to my Platinum Elite membership, they upgraded me from a guest room to a corner room.
The room size is 36 square meters.
Complimentary coffee, and tea (Harney & Sons) were provided.
The bathroom had a separate shower room and bathtub.
And the bathtub had a spectacular view of the lake view and sky scrapers!
Toothbrushes, vanity kit, shower cap, mouth wash, sanitary bag and body lotions are provided.
Facility
Large pool shared with the Hilton next door.
The gym also shares with Hilton. It is on the Hilton side and probably has the best equipment of all the hotels in KL.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served at Latest Recipe on the 5th floor, which offers a diverse menu of Asian, Western, and Malay dishes.

Conclusion
The service and cleanliness I think were about the same, so I I would say you could stay at whichever brand you like, or depend on the room rate.
