Hilton Kuala Lumpur is located in the heart of the vibrant city, just 28 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport by KLIA Express and a 10-minute walk from NU Sentral, the nearest shopping mall.
The hotel’s swimming pool and sundeck create a tropical atmosphere.
Booking
I checked the prices to decide whether to stay at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur or the Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, which have the same building design and are next to each other. Then the Hilton was about RM20 cheaper, so I booked the Hilton. The rate when I booked was RM262 including taxes.
Check-in
I made a big mistake when I headed to the Hilton. I mistakenly parked my car in the parking lot right in front of KL Sentral thinking it was the Hilton Kuala Lumpur parking lot and was charged RM20 for about 2 hours parking. Everyone please be sure to use Google Map when going to Hilton. The road is complicated and hard to find. If you park in the Hilton parking lot, it is only RM3 for house-guests.
Anyway finally reached the Hilton KL after I made a big mistake, the high-ceilinged spacious lobby was decorated with a Christmas tree, since Christmas was coming soon.
We arrived an hour earlier than check-in time and had to wait a bit before we could check in. However, I was disappointed that I was not recognized as a Hilton Diamond member, and there was no explanation of the benefits of Diamond membership. So I did not know if I had received a room upgrade, and I asked about it through the app chat when I got to my room. Fortunately, it seemed that the room had been upgraded. I think it would be better to ask about member benefits when you check in at this hotel.
The perks for Diamond members are
- Room Upgrade
- Access to Executive Lounge
- Complimentary breakfast for Two
- Welcome Gift(Three different flavors of peanuts)
King Executive Room
The room size is 38 square meters.
In the drawer, coffee and tea(Dilmah) were provided.
Bathrooms are large with separate bathtub and shower.
Bath amenities were by Crabtree & Evelyn and included shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, shower cap, body cream, and grooming kit.
Facility
The Hilton’s pool has a slide and is crowded with children every day. Interestingly, this pool is shared with the adjacent Le Meridien KL.
Probably the biggest hotel gym I’ve ever been, and it has every kind of machine you can work out with. You can also do free weights something like deadlift, squat, bench press and more!! This place is like heaven for everyone!!
Breakfast
Breakfast is served at Basco’s, located on the same floor as the lobby, with a varied menu of Asian, Western, and Malay dishes.

Bottom line
The location is right in front of KL Sentral, so it would be convenient to stay the night before going to the airport. There is a Le Meridien next door in the exact same building, and to be honest, the service and cleanliness were about the same. If you are a Marriott member, it would be best to stay at the Le Meridien and if you are a Hilton member, it would be best to stay at the Hilton.
