【Review】DoubleTree by Hilton Naha, Okinawa Japan

DoubleTree by Hilton Naha is located in the center of Naha, approximately 10 minutes by monorail from Naha Airport, 1 minute from the monorail station, and 2 minutes from one of the largest bus terminals in Okinawa. It is also a 10-minute walk to Kokusai-dori, the busiest street in Naha.

Booking

I booked this hotel because it is located in the heart of Naha, a great location for sightseeing. Plus it was close to the airport. The room rate at the time of booking the twin-bed guest room was ¥16445, which was reasonable considering the location. There are cheaper hotels, but since I am a Hilton member, I stay at Hilton more often.

Check-in

At the time of our stay, we stayed on the same day as Japanese school trip students, so there were many students in the lobby. The staff told me that in October in Okinawa, the hotels are always crowded due to many school trips. Still, my check-in went smoothly.

Twin 2 Beds Deluxe Room

We had a room upgrade and got an upper floor, but the room is just a regular city hotel.

Air purifiers are available as in other Japanese hotels

On the cabinet, a capsule coffee and tea set were provided.

The hotel has been open for more than 10 years, so the bathrooms and room decor look old.

Toothbrushes, sanitary bag, comb, vanity kit, and body cream were provided.

Facility

The hotel does not have a gym or swimming pool, but you can get a free ticket to a nearby public gym by telling the hotel staff. If you want to rent swimsuits and indoor shoes, you will have to pay for them, but they are not expensive.

It’s a huge gym as it is a public gym, you can do any kind of training you want.

Welcome Lounge

From 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., The Riverside located on the first floor, is open as a welcome lounge.

Hilton Gold and Diamond members are invited to use Riverside on the 1st floor as a welcome lounge from 5:00pm to 8:00pm for juices, drinks, etc. But this is not an executive lounge like any other Hilton, so don’t get your hopes up!
